Corporate/organizational security is divided into three layers as shown on the figure below. The top layer is internal security, which focuses on protecting the overall organization from outside intrusion. The second layer protection is contents protection management. Organizations are mainly responsible to securely manage the internal system infrastructure by successfully securing databases and manage the security administrators. The tasks in this layer include adopting security servers, KMS, Groupware, and etc.
The third layer is the device security management, such as CD, DVD, USB devices, external HDD, and portable devices. Settec’s copy protection solutions concentrate on this layer, especially in protecting CD, DVD, and USB devices. Alpha-DISC™ and Alpha-USB™ allow the contents providers to safely distribute or share confidential documents or other types of digital contents.
